SSI React Right teaches you how to respond when someone is hurt or unwell, at the dive site, on the boat or at home. It covers checking a casualty, CPR and first aid. It is open to anyone, not just divers.
Course details
- One day at our shop in Paihia, normally no more than 8 hours
- SSI digital learning you can start at home before the day
- Theory, then practising the skills in realistic scenarios
- Core course: primary assessment and CPR, then first aid and stabilisation
- Optional: AED (defibrillator) and emergency oxygen. Ask us about adding them when you book.
Requirements
- Minimum age 12
- No diving certification needed
Your SSI React Right certification lasts two years. It meets the first aid and CPR requirement for the SSI Stress and Rescue course, and we can run it the day before your Stress and Rescue course starts.
