Open Water Diving Course

Your first step into the world of recreational diving!

Whether you want to dive with us in the beautiful Bay of Islands, or in any of the world's other amazing dive locations, your PADI Open Water certification is the ticket you need.

Our scuba diving course will run over 3 or 4 days. We are very flexible and can normally tailor a course to fit your time constraints.

We offer two different options to complete the theory. You can do a classroom day to work on the theory component with an instructor, or you can complete it online through the Padi elearning website.

The confined water sessions are done in a heated swimming pool. This alows you the time to master the skills required to progress to the open water.

The first dive day is at the beach at Matauri Bay, this gives you a taste of shore diving. On the last day we head out to Deep Water Cove to complete the last 2 dives of the course. This area is a reserve so the diving is awesome!

Upon certification you will be qualified to dive with a buddy to 18 metres/60 feet. A Junior Open Water Certification is available for children aged between 10 and 14 years. For 10 and 11 year olds on certification you will be qualified to dive to 12 metres with a dive professional. For 12 to 14 year olds you are required to dive with an adult to a maximum of 18m.
